Frequently Asked Questions

What is your approach to teaching English lessons?

I offer a highly personalised, professional, yet friendly approach, tailoring lessons to your goals and learning style for effective language acquisition.

Our first session begins with a short conversation so I can assess your ability, followed by a discussion of your needs and objectives.

Lessons are one hour long, typically held weekly at a time that suits you. We confirm the next lesson at the end of each session. All lessons take place online via Google Meet—you don’t need an account, just a device with a microphone (and ideally a camera). I’ll send a link before each session.

You’ll receive lesson plans and materials at least two days in advance, and you’ll have access to all resources, including recorded lessons, afterward.

We can stay in touch via email, WhatsApp, or Messenger, and you’re free to reschedule with just one day's notice—life happens, and I’m happy to accommodate your needs.

What does your proofreading service include?

I typically work in Word using Tracked Changes, but I’m happy to discuss other formats if needed. If you’re providing a translated document, it’s always helpful to include the original so I can check the intended meaning.

The process is simple: send me your document, specify whether you prefer British or US English (or we can discuss which is best for your audience), and let me know your deadline. From there, I’ll take care of the rest.

I often include comments alongside my edits—knowledge-sharing matters! Understanding why a change is needed helps you avoid the same mistake in the future. Many common errors, like using a hyphen instead of an en dash, can be easily corrected with a simple explanation.

What types of document do you specialise in copyediting?

I edit a wide range of content, including academic papers, business documents, marketing materials, and more, ensuring clarity and impact. Recent projects include a PhD thesis on financial distress prediction models, website content for an ice cream machine manufacturer, and the debut novel of an Austrian writer.

If you need copyediting for a specific type of text, feel free to reach out—I’m happy to discuss your project.

What does your creative writing service include?

I first began writing blog content for Bird Buddy, an AI-powered bird feeder. While I already knew a lot about birds, this role deepened my research skills—and I discovered I love it! I now write bird articles for award-winning photographer Owen Deutsch and have also created content for the Bled Water Forum’s upcoming commercial online venture, Aquinity8.

Beyond commissioned work, I write for my own pleasure, including short fiction (realism, surrealism, sci-fi, fantasy, crime, supernatural, and horror) and memoir-style essays.

If you need creative content, I’m happy to discuss your project—let’s bring your ideas to life.

How do I pay for your services?

Invoices are issued at the end of each month with an 8-day payment window. If you need more time, just let me know—I’m happy to be flexible.
